My father (by the same name) served at this base after 2 years in France and before 2 years in Sardinia. I was only 7-8 years of age when we were in Germany. Good site, but it seems to lack pictures of the pmqs, primary school, etc. of this time period. Our pmq was across from the middle(?) school and on the edge of the triangular lawn there was a sand pile with a bunker under it. Is it still there? Anybody have pics of this, the pmq, the large area beside the bunker of this era? I do remember a pmq that had one of the suites catch fire.Pics?
