I can't believe that I found this site completely by accident. I recognized many names from the posts I've been sifting through. Some might be interested in this. The other night I found what I'm pretty sure is what's left of the base on google earth. http://earth.google.com/
Type in "48 46'38.87 N, 8 05'38.38 E" in the top left and go to an elevation of about 400 ft. Let me know If I have it right. I think that's Hugie just above and the locks and bridge to France on the left.
I'd love to hear from anyone familiar or not.
