For those who knew Larry; he was up north but not sure if he was in Baden, however; I am sure lots of you will remember him as a dedicated soldier and infantryman.
The messages:
I'm not sure who to pass this on to, but my ex-husband, CWO Larry L. Schultz, 12 Oct 39, passed away this past Sunday, 6 Jul 08, in Lethbridge Alberta, at St. Michael's Hospital/Extended Care facility.
Larry had started his career in the Army in 1956/57 with the Queen's Own Rifles and from there with 3 PPCLI. He retired in 1992. Larry had been sick for quite awhile. His two sisters were there when he passed away. A memorial service is scheduled to take place in Lethbridge on 19 Jul. I have no further details as I have been divorced from Larry for nearly 20 years. If you are interested in more information, the two sisters are Lynn Hammond of Coleman Alberta and Penny Elliott or Hengerer of Lethbridge.
Our son, LS Michael Schultz, was brought back from Pearl Harbor yesterday, where he had been employed on TD. He is Regular Navy, NAV COMM. Michael will be going to Lethbridge either tomorrow or Thursday and can be reached at 250-818-6931.
If you believe there is any other military group that may wish to know about this, please advise and I will endeavour to pass on.
Thank-you.

LARRY L. SCHULTZ
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father and brother at the age of 68 years. Born October 12, 1939 in LacombeAB, Larry joined the military at the age of 17 and during his career spent 11 years in Germany and several tours in Cypress and Egypt. Larry then spent three years in Ottawa in charge of the Ceremonial Guard of Canada. He retired in 1991, with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. Larry was predeceased by his mother June, father Utz, a step-father Edward Baker an infant grandchild and a nephew Trevor. Left to mourn his passing are his children, Michael, Lonne, Lori, and Larry Jr. and nine grandchildren, sister Pennie Hengerer (Bob), her children Todd & Token and sister Lynne Hammond (Bruce) and children Lance & Jody.
A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
