Our family was in Baden
from 72-74. We lived in Iffezheim on Oertbuhle Strasse. Wonderful memories
of a very sepcial place that we were lucky to be posted to. Our visit
was brief but the memories linger. Touring Germany and neighboring countries
with the "Canadian Camping Club" was an incredible experience. I was in
Grade 5 and 6 at the base school and we left in May of 74. Looking back,
I realize how fortunate I was to be part of a family that had the opportunity
to travel most of Canada and parts of Europe. Thanks fo rsome great memories.

My family was in Baden
from 1971 to 1975. It was really wonderful to explore this site and see
so many names from a wonderful time. It would be wonderful to make the
Winnipeg reunion this summer and see some old faces. Until I saw this
site I never realised that Baden
was now a part of History and that's rather sad. My parents are living
half in the States and half in Chilliwack, B.C., my sister Micheline is
living and doing very well in North Vancouver, B.C. and my brother has
been teaching in Mexico for several years. It would be really nice to
hear from anyone who remembers us.

Like so many others that have left comments
my 4 yrs at 4 Wing were fabulous. Dad was an MP stationed in Baden
from 1966 - 1970. I spent my formative years age 13 - 17 in Baden.
If anyone remembers the band "Graveyard Train" 1969 - 1790, well I played
rythm guitar. "Darrell Hollingsworth", haven't heard from you in 31 years,
are you out there? "Barb", I enjoyed the walks to Hugie. Hey "Mark Gunther
Smith", I now play bass in a couple of local bands and picked up a vintage
1970 fender musicmaster along the way. Anyway thanks for the memories
and hope to find out whatever happened to "Tom (Der Schnoz" McLeish.

We just had a reunion of teenagers of the
fifties who lived on the base from the very beginning. They came from
both sides of the country and some on very short notice. That was one
of our problems...we couldn't find everyone especially the girls/ladies.
We searched for Gail Buchan, Bev McArthur, Kenny & Patsy Stabler, Reg
Stuart, Clive Ruggles, Jim Fraser, David Magee, Bruce McTavish, Maureen
Gill, Gerry Daigle, Gary Smith, Joe & Diane Gordon, George Wade aka Geo
Pepper, Marilyn Wade, Judy Johnson, Bob Waters...to name a few. If anyone
knows these folks or knows how to get in touch with them please let me
know. By the way the reunion was a huge success. Cheers!!! Al

From 1970 to 72. We arrived in Europe (Lahr) in 1969 but moved to Baden

Radio and had my own show on saturday morning called "Saturday Morning
Confusion" Had a Ball. My wife and I lived in Soellingen at # 9 Swartzwasser

Only in Germany! Glad for this site, have already hooked up with people

I was surfing around and??? a 4 wing web
site..to much. As a dependent I lived in P.M.Q 8 apt. 4 from 1963 - 1968.
My father WAS Larry Ennis Safety Systems. I won "Cub of the Year" on the
base in 1966 the same day I pitched my ball team to a championship. As
kid we would make these incredible discoveries as we dug through the bunkers. My
best score was finding a loaded german luger. The 4 wing Raiders always
had a visiting european team in for an exhibition game on Sundays. What
great hockey I'll never forget

What a beautiful site, thanks for the tour!
My dad, Jack Buchner, was with the 422 squadron from 1954-57. If you were
there at the time, you may remember him as tall, slim, big-nose, lived
kinda on the edge, a bit of a s--- disturber who liked to build motorcycyles
in the basement of his PMQ. His wife, Kay, was a tiny redhead with kids
coming out of her ears (me being one of them, born there in 1955). If
this rings any bells, I would love to hear from you! All the best and

Just found the website. It's great. I was
in 4 Wing from 69 to 73 and played with the Baden
Raiders and later the Baden
Knights and finally when we were all combined the Selects named by Jim
Gebhardt from his days playing against the Soviet Teams in the Spangler
cup. I worked in 1CAG in the workshop as a metal worker and would like
to hear from old friends from that time frame. Our three children also
live in Calgary.Mike, Dawn , and Teresa.

Hi! again. Had some comments in the Buellitin
board but can't seem to find them now. I would still like to hear from
old friends. Served at 4(F) Wing from May 62 until May 66 with my wife
Olive and daughter Ingrid who was born in Heidelberg. I was employed in
Log Control and Base Headquarters. Played Intersection Hockey, some softball
and football.

Feels good to take a trip down memory lane.
This site is great. I was posted to Baden
from 82 to 85 and it was the best four years of my career. I was attached
to 3RCR and 2 PPCLI Maintenance Platoon. My passion was soccer and I played
with the Kinadisher Kickers Base Soccer Team for the four years I was
there. Lets get together for one more game guys. I retired in 96 as the
Maintenance Officer for Cape Breton Island, and I now work at Air Canada
in Halifax. Anyone from Maint Coy the Kickers or anyone that just wants
to drop me a line, you have my E-Mail. Ein Prost.

Reading everyone's comments bring back so
many memories. Kim & I were stationed in Baden
from 81-84. Kim worked in the BATCO section and I worked in the CAG at
ARO and 441. There are so many great memories. Winning the CFE hockey
championships against the RCR in 84 was such a high light. The Wilson's,Grecco's,MacLeod's,Frank's,Cooper's,Sabad's,Ebel's.
The list goes on. Those were great days for Knights. Larry Johnson, the
owner, the late Doug Ford. We all had great times. Kim's time with Rube
Band was tremendous. Robbie the bandmaster and Lyle Sealey?? the faithful
roadie!! This website brings back all those fond memories. After retiring
in 97 and finally adjusting to civilian life, I think I can honestly say
Baden was our best
posting. Thanks for the memories.

HELLO!...out there everyone. Very pleased
to discover this site. I had just finished sending you an E-Mail to update
your MP and Guard lists at Marcel LABELLE's request on your "sky" address
Sonja when out of sheer curiosity I linked your name with Badenremembered and
BINGO. I served in Baden
from Feb 66 to Sep 70 as an AFP at CSC for 6 months then as a dog handler.
Returned to Canada with a german born french wife and 4 month old daughter
in Sept 70. Returned to Baden
in Jul 74 with same wife and daughter plus a boy 2 yoa. Was with SIU then.
Alternated between that unit and MP detachment till my return to Canada
in Aug 79. We resided in Iffezheim on Goethestrasse and Kincsemstrasse.
Our daughter and son both attended the local kindergarten then the Baden
Junior. Françoise(ex-wife) is on her own now as a dental assistant in
Montreal. I left the CF in 96 and am currently doing Real Estate in Terrebonne,
Québec, a beautiful town on the Thousand Islands river NorthEast of Montreal.
My daughter is an infographist in Ottawa and my son is in Edmonton with
1 CER. We are all doing fine and also wish you the best. Thanks again
for the memories Sonja and keep up the good work. I did not get around
to search the guest book for old acquaintances yet. I intend to eventually.
